Many blessings made this trip possible

God is amazing!! Ever since my journey with Parkinson's started I am humbly thankful for so many blessings along the way. Ganly, is the main character in my first published childrens book. At my most difficult moments with PD and Dystonia I was blessd with inspiration to create, to draw and to write. I never tried landscapes before let alone write a book and wow!! I am now apublished author! I decided to try and make a difference and Parkinson's is what I have not who I am, I will strive to do my best each day to bring Him glory.
When I first learned of the Parkinson's Quilt Project, I had this instant feeling that I needed to be a part of this project. I signed up to make 2 quilt panels: One in honor of God, my dear family and friends and the other in honor of Booth Gardner Parkinson's Care Center, where I am blessed to be a patient. I decied that if I could not be in Scotland as least a part of me could. I was inspired to create and the quilt panels came together with a few tears, humble thanks and joy for what I was able to create.
I could not wait to see my panels sewn with other panels, uniting us all who participated- one stitch at a time. All of whom I was blessed to speak with at the Parkinsons Diaease Foundation(PDF) were kind, supportive and could not be nicer. They gave me the opportunity to be share about the quilt in my local newspaper and blessed my with the honor of sharing my story in the newsletter. The biggest surprise of all, 5 weeks ago I received an e-mail/invite to speak about the quilt-"meet the quilter." Could I really go and participate? With my dear husbands blessing I will attend the II World Parkinson's Conference in Glascow Scotland, amazing!!!
I invite you to follow my journey as well as Ganly's along with my daughter and Gammi to Glasgow. I made Ganly and am so excited how he turned out. We plan on taking his picture in castles and who knows where else. wWe will download our latest pictures each day. I look forward to learing from Dr.s and meeting other who are fellow travelers with Parkinson's disease.
Ganly is ready to deliver posts and travel to Scotland
